Under the slanted red roof of this cabin-style hotel you’ll find the finest place to rest your head in the region. Wild grasslands surround the hotel on all sides. Large windows offer views of the grasslands and the Patagonia mountains just beyond. 44 bedrooms vary in size and grandeur, with the best rooms equipped with king size beds, hydro-massage tubs, and terrific views of the Rio de las Vueltas. Services include a gift shop, common area with fireplace, salons and relaxation parlor. The bar has regional liquors, wines from throughout South America, strong cognacs and malts, plus Cuban and Dominican Republic tobaccos. If you’re lucky, you might just catch a sunset during happy hour. The gourmet restaurant serves seafood, wild game, Patagonia stew and lamb, smoked and homemade cheeses, and specialty-crafted desserts, along with a long wine list.

Located at the foot of Monte Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, Hosteria El Puma offers comfortable accommodations to those wanted to relax after a long day of trekking Patagonia’s finest mountains. Beige walls, local brick, and soft cotton curtains and ironwork decorate the cozy interior. Comfortable, chic rooms face the snowy peaks. A buffet breakfast is served with fruit, cereal, homemade pudding, and fresh juice. The restaurant Terray serves “mountain cuisine,” from Patagonia lamb to rainbow trout, along with fine wines. This charming red brick little lodge is well situated in town near the Rio de las Vueltas. The comfortable lounge has a gorgeous stone fireplace. 30 simple rooms – 26 double rooms and four triple rooms – all have private bathrooms, central heating, and Egyptian cotton sheets and goose feather quilts. From the sound proof and thermo-panel windows you can enjoy views of Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. An American-style breakfast, including fresh baked bread, is served in the full service restaurant, and room service is available. The 24 hour bar has a variety of Argentine wines. Services include laundry, central heating, safe deposit boxes, and a library.
